DTx Asia Roundup

The first DTx Asia conference was held in Seoul, South Korea last week where experts engaged in dialogues surrounding the penetration, regulatory, and reimbursability environment around digital health solutions in the APAC region.

Wellthy’s CEO and Co-founder, Abhishek Shah, was a co-chair at the event and part of a panel on “How DTx companies plan to innovate healthcare in the APAC region” with Megan Coder, Chief Policy Officer at DTx Alliance, Sarah Jackson, Director at Click Therapeutics, and Danny Kim, Head at Welt.

Here are 3 Key Takeaways from DTx Asia:

    1. The next wave in DTx – The next wave of transformation in DTx is here. An inevitable shift to single integrated platforms with an ability to focus on multiple needs from point-faced solutions/singular use case solutions.

    1. Engaging HCPs is of utmost importance – New technology cannot survive in conservative medical environments. It is thus imperative that the doctor community becomes more accepting of digital therapeutics solutions. It is only then that the companions can be prescribed in numbers to patients. The great news is that doctors are becoming more accepting of DTx technologies.

    1. Digital Health Equity – DTx will be the front-runner in addressing digital health equity. Digital health solutions can improve access by addressing unmet needs, personalizing patient care basis SDOH, bridging information gaps in underserved areas, and much more.

We’d like to thank everyone for coming and meeting us at DTx Asia.
